We really have two sections here. First we'll have the truly unique pieces. Only one piece is available and no new piece will be just like it. Dennis Blankenheim is the artist.

This one is a teaser! Magic just beginning to happen. This is jewelry, sculpture and a functional knife. It's also NOT for sale. This first knife belongs to Fran. However, Dennis is moving into the realm of blade-smithing this year, combining many of his current skills with new forging techniques to produce individually crafted miniature knives. He's hoping to showcase his new work at the Minnesota and Carolina Renaissance festivals this year. This page will be updated as new work is produced. Stay tuned!!

By the way....this knife would retail at about $250.

It's sterling silver with a round hematite stone on either side of the bale. It sports a very sharp Damascus blade. The overall dimensions are 1.5" by 2.5".

Spider Web Mask

This is a flowed bronze mask, complete with an attached spider. This, and all the masks, are flowed over a cast bronze face, so the finished product has all the proper contours to fit comfortably over the face. The piece is lacquered to prevent tarnishing and to protect the face from discoloration.

This is flowed bronze with an attached bronze spider with a pink hued, Austrian, cut crystal in the tail, for added glitter.

Custom Made Pieces

Here's an example of Dennis' one of a kind  crown, done especially for the queen of the Carolina and Arizona Renaissance Festival. It  is set with many synthetic stones and freshwater pearls for  a queenly attitude that matches Lolly!  A crown similar  to this one will cost in the neighborhood of $500, depending on how elaborate the design and the stones used.

These chains are all hand fabricated with the cross lines flowed with the torch. They are 100% sterling silver. There is no solder used. These chains can also be constructed of 14K gold with the price dependent on the current market price of gold.

The bronze is flowed over the heavy sterling silver in a random pattern. It is then ground flat and polished for this dramatic effect. The two metals melt within 25 degrees of each other, so this is extremely delicate work! It must be hot enough to stick but not so hot as to flow completely together. These pieces are not adjustable, so we need correct ring and bracelet sizes.
